They make mens pant liners now days so if you piss yourself they take all the flood of water. Then when you get to the next bus shelter take your trousers and pants off and change the wet liner, putting the wet one in the bin to be recycled by the next unluckey pisser person.

Not normally. You may be on medications that cause it. And yes, it should stop. also, pay attention to damaged or sore perineum, rectum or rectal muscles, but they will heal. If you mean bladder control, see UTI.

Kegel exercises are designed to tighten vaginal muscles. Many women and men do them to control incontinence. Likewise, many women perform kegels after having babies because vaginal deliveries strain these muscles. For expectant mothers, kegels are widely known to ease discomfort during the later stages of pregnancy. Also, kegels greatly facilitate childbirth and hasten childbirth recovery.

Kegel exercises are not an alternative therapy, but are recommended by many gynecologists. In fact, many women first learn about kegels through their gynecologists, after they complain of bladder weakness or vaginal looseness.

Many women are confused about kegel exercises. They are not complicated, but consist of repeatedly tightening and relaxing the pelvic floor muscles surrounding the pelvic bone. In order to locate these muscles, women may first try to stop their urination midstream. If they find they can?t control the urinary stream, it is likely they have weak vaginal muscles.

Before women start their kegel exercises, it is recommended they empty their bladders for maximum comfort. Each exercise consists of contracting, holding, and releasing pelvic floor muscles. It is recommended women use resistance weight to produce stronger results. Resistance usually comes in the form of dumbbells or other weights that are placed on top of the pelvis during squeezing repetitions.

Kegelmaster, furthermore, is an example of a vaginal exerciser. It consists of a specially designed weight that is inserted into the vagina and pushes against vaginal muscles for strength-training. Many women report excellent results with Kegelmaster because it directly stretches vaginal muscles. They do not report any discomfort with the tool and claim it fits them naturally.

In actuality, women need to perform kegel exercises properly in order to see good results. In fact, doing them improperly may actually worsen their problems. Even women who report no sexual or continence problems can benefit from kegels. Doing these exercises will greatly help women prevent incontinence and bladder problems. Though women may not experience these problems now, it is likely they will in the future unless they build vaginal muscle.

This is becoming a health issue, and someone needs to speak to her about it. It could be HR, or her supervisor, or even you; but it must be done in a dignified and respectful manner.

Beyond that, she must really take the lead on being responsible enough to care for herself; and to stop being selfish in ignoring her coworkers legitimate concerns. She needs to seek medical care, wear protective pads, and use absorbent mats on the surfaces she sits on. This is not optional, for all of your health.

In vaginal birth the uterus can prolapse and put pressure on the bladder. Vaginal births are preferred to c-sections because there are less risk associated with vaginal births.

nope, no medications will tighten up that sphincter, only the kegels will do that, and they must be done religiously to have any effect. I too had the same problem after two children, and while I still do kegels religiously, I finally opted for the surgery, it really wasn’t that big a deal.

It could be a UTI, but spay incontinence is not uncommon in older dogs – I had an old dog who was incontinent for the last two years of her life. She spend most of her time outside, so I just kept her off the carpet and cleaned up after her when she was inside.

Sometimes the vet can give the dog hormones which will help, and they do make "panties" for dogs that can be used for incontinence.

I would take her to the vet and have her checked in case it is an infection or diabetes (drinking a lot can be a symptom) and see what he says.

my mother had this problem but it never effected her relationship with her children (there are7 of us) or with our step father who loved her to the day we lost her.
The only difference was we bought her bigger purses so she could carry what she needed when she was out and on loner rips we stopped more often.
But there is know reason it should effect their lives or how people feel or treat them

I can’t find any evidence that is true looking around online, and no one else I know whose dog has been on this medication required regular bloodwork. This is a new vet, and I’m suspicious that some of their policies are geared more toward profitability than health.

Try calling around to several good vets. Not low end vets, but vets who see people who don’t flinch at costs. I bet even the people at the front desk could tell you the answer as they do the scheduling and billing.

If your pet is on any long term medication, it’s generally good to do periodic screening – especially if the drug has any side effects.

NO!!! a lady who wears these is having a very difficult time controling her bladder…and some bladder problems are very serious…women do not like wearing bulky pads…but there is a reason why they have to…you really need to educate yourself with this more to fully understand it..please refrain from assuming these medical problems are just laziness…its certainly not the case

This could be happening for several reasons. Your anal sphincter muscle could not be working well. Sometimes this happens after anal intercourse.

Another reason is that you may not be eating enough fiber. If the discharge is liquid or very loose, you may want to try eating more fiber, maybe a bran muffin or bran cereal.

Not drinking enough fluid also sometimes creates problems. Are you drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day?

A water-proof mattress cover. It encases the entire mattress and zips up. You can also get a water-proof mattress pad to put over to of the cover for extra coverage.

If it is only when he sleeps, you can use diaper pull-ups or a belly band (male dogs) and this will keep it from being a mess.

I have an old Pom that wears pull-ups at night She pees.

If he/she sleeps on a particular dog bed, you can throw an asorbant pad over the bed and throw it away when your done. You can get them in bulk at medical supply stores. Plus, it won’t be scented like pee-pee pads to encourage peeing.

Was she a breeding dog at one time? She could have a weakened bladder. Sometimes, this can be surgically tacked back up.

What you have is a leak. If you can’t stop the leaking, then minimize the damage the leaking causes.

I’d either get a second vet opinion or check with the vet about alternatives to the meds.

Some will, some wont. Most are for prescription medications only.

The diarrhea could be due to the change in hormones and is not that uncommon. The incontinence should be checked out by your doctor. Sometimes bladders do act up during this time as well, as if the menstruation irritates it. Could you have a urinary tract infection or bladder infection? Only your doc can tell.
Stress incontinence can worsen during the week before your menstrual period. At that time, lowered estrogen levels might lead to lower muscular pressure around the urethra, increasing chances of leakage. The incidence of stress incontinence increases following menopause.

The vet said that it is normal after hysterectomy and that there may be a little discharge. She is recovering very well and the vet is very pleased with her progress. I was just hoping to hear other peoples experiences as I’ve hear the incontinence can be permanent.

It happened with one of my huskies. She was spayed at 10 years old and the incontinence started a couple months later. It was treated with a synthetic estrogen hormone called DES, one tablet every three days. That wasn’t enough so the vet prescribed 50 mg phenylpropanolamine 3 times a day. It took a little experimenting to come up with the right dose. Once we got it right she was fine for her last four years.
