You should still get checked out by a doctor.

If I am having a scheduled C-section, do I still have to do Kegel exercises?

Wednesday, November 25th, 2009

I had an extremely difficult birth with my first child, and my doctor suggested a C-Section for this one, due 6/28. Do I still have to do the kegel exercises? I haven’t been doing them, should I step it up, or are they only necessary for vaginal birth?

All women should do them, not just those anticipating a vaginal delivery.

At the very least, they are useful for sex. Trust me, you learn to do them well, and your husband will thank you for it!

"Women will see increased vaginal strength and control and men should see increased ejaculation strength and increased sexual stamina. Both genders will see greatly increased pleasure during intercourse and more intense, longer lasting orgasms."

"A fitter, well-toned pelvic floor will almost certainly increase sexual pleasure for you and your partner and it can dramatically improve your sexual confidence. The physiological reasons for the improvement go far beyond the increased tactile sensations resulting from a tighter vagina.
Kegel exercises create an increase in pelvic vascularity which means more blood flow and more veins in the pelvic region. This will increase your awareness of the clitoral and vaginal sensations that lead to orgasm. Any stronger muscle will contract more powerfully than would a flabby muscle, and hence the likelihood of stronger orgasms is much higher with stronger PC muscles."

R there other options other dan Kegel exercises 2 make ur vagina tighter?

Tuesday, November 24th, 2009

cuz i heard kegel exercises do not even work…it dont even make it tighter.. so are there other options other dan surgery and kegel exercises?

the muscles of the pelvic floor are like all other muscles…if you can contract them enough…they will become stronger. The problem is that they are pretty small…and difficult to contract effectively.
I’d recommend buying a book on the real Kaegal exercises. The real technique goes beyond simply stopping your urine flow…they actually involved contracting them arround your fingers (for example) so that you are contracting them correctly etc.

kegel exercise = clench and release?

Monday, November 23rd, 2009

is a kegel exercise the same thing as "clench and release"?

Yeah, it’s basically clench and release.. BUT, you need to do it to a certain body part, which is the muscles that form part of the pelvic floor (sometimes called the "Kegel muscles") and not any other muscles (like biceps, etc)

I tried the kegel exercise thing, but?

Sunday, November 22nd, 2009

nothing happened! The urine flow stayed the same! That used to work, but I can’t stop it any more! Now I know that I need kegel exercises but how do I know if I’m doing it right?
I’ve done it before, I used to be able to stop half way, but now when I try it doesn’t work.

If you are young this will not stop effect your flow. You know you are working the right muscles if when you pee you try to stop the flow completely. If you can stop peeing, you know where the kegel exercises are targeting. Just squeeze and hold and release. If you are having incontinence issues, see a doctor. They can help, young or old.

What are some good kegel exercises I can do daily?

Saturday, November 21st, 2009

I have trouble achieving orgasm through intercourse alone, and I’ve heard kegel exercises will help.

If you hit a red light in traffic, hold your "self" in. Squeeze and tighten for the entire duration of the red light. After a while of these exercises, you should notice a difference. And the nice thing is you can exercise any time you want, and no one will ever know! Good luck

To do kegel exercises you just stop and restart your urine stream several times when urinating.
