What are some ways to solve urinary incontinence?
I am only 30 years old but I have had 5 children. I do Kegel exercises but it doesn’t help much. This problem is embarassing when I sneeze, cough, or laugh too hard. It seems to have gotten worse since my last child was born. Any serious advice would be appreciated.
You may benefit from a trip to a physical therapist that specializes in women’s health issues. That therapist can make certain that you’re doing the Kegels correctly (many women think they’re doing them right, but they’re not.) Also, strengthening your abdomen and other pelvic floor muscles can help. (Just holding your belly in works part of the abdominal muscles.) Ask your doctor for a prescription for physcial therapy for pelvic floor dysfunction or urinary incontinence. Not all Physical Therapy places offer that kind of therapy, so make sure to ask; you need to find a place that works specifically with Women’s Health.
