What are the benefits of Kegel exercises? How do I do them properly?
I’ve read about kegel exercises but I’m not quite sure how to know if I’m doing them right. Any tips? Can anyone explain all of the benefits to me?
Kegel exercises are for your pelvic muscles. Thy strenghten them and also tighten your vagina. They are esp. useful after childbirth and for women with bladder problems. They can prevent the need for surgery as you get older to lift your bladder and uterus. But for younger women the sexual benefits are worth doing them. To do them correctly you tighten up your muscles like you do when you have to get to the bathroom and have to wait. Most Dr’s recommend that (if you drive) you get into the habit of doing them at every stop light. ( or TV commercials). Obviously they can be done anywhere and no one will know you are doing them. Just tighten up your muscles (like holding pee) for 10 seconds and repeat as often as you can during the day.
